Senior Engineer

 

Expressions of interest are invited for the above position in our Newmarket office. This is a Senior Engineering position (minimum 10 years’ New Zealand work experience).


Neo Consulting Ltd is an independent professional services practice providing electrical engineering consulting services in the fields of power systems and control systems. Our clients are predominantly in the industrial and infrastructure area. Neo undertake the design and project management of new and upgrade projects for clients throughout Australasia. Our aim is to make work enjoyable and fulfilling while supporting professional and personal development.
We are searching for a self-motivated, technically capable person. We will provide an excellent working environment, which will provide plenty of opportunities for the right candidate to excel. To be considered a strong candidate for this role you will need to:

- Be passionate about Engineering.
- Be degree qualified (preferably from The University of Auckland or The University of Canterbury).
- Strong technical knowledge of specifications, standards and codes.
- Have had experience working in a consultancy.
- Possess excellent communication skills in order to effectively interact with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Have an analytical approach to problem solving.
- Have excellent documentation and reporting skills.
- Be committed to high quality detailed designs that leave no questions unanswered.
- Manage projects, budgets and resources to deliver quality results that are on time and to scope.
- Have the ability to use initiative.
- Have proven results.

Senior Electrical Engineer - Industrial

Expressions of interest are invited for the above position in our Newmarket office. This is a Senior Industrial Electrical Engineering position (minimum 8 years' New Zealand work experience). 

Neo Consulting Ltd is an independent, NZ owned, professional services practice providing electrical engineering consulting services in the fields of power systems and industrial electrical systems. Neo undertake the design and project management of new and upgrade projects for clients throughout NZ and internationally.

  • Control System Design - delivering low voltage electrical, instrumentation, automation, telemetry, and process control solutions for public utility, local government and large industry clients.

  • This positions is available to students completing their final year of a Bachelor of Engineering and wanting to start their career off in a company committed to the development of Graduate Engineers.

To be considered for either of these roles you will need to have a minimum of a BE (Electrical) or be graduating in early 2019.

In addition you will need to:

  • have strong, but not necessarily top academic results - we are looking for well-rounded individuals

  • be a team player

  • have excellent communication skills in order to effectively interact with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and your colleagues - written and oral.

  • be an "active" learner

  • have a passion for electrical engineering
